1980-81 (REPLICA) Game Worn Jersey |
This rare
1980-81 Oilers 1st half Sandow knit authentic game worn jersey is a real
looker! Worn by an unidentified player during the 1st half of 1980-81 this
home jersey was stripped of it's previous cresting kit and then converted
into a Gretzky jersey back in the day by Wayne's former agent Gus Badali.
Based on a few minor cresting inconsistencies exhibited it was crested into a #99
some time between 1981-83. Badali then signed the inside crest in blue
marker and gave it to a very popular and legendary member of the Detroit Red Wings
during the mid 1980s who then gifted it to a prominent Detroit
businessman. The jersey exhibits moderate game wear, team repairs, a
number change and a few cresting kit inconsistencies (name bar style is
inaccurate). Last but not least it boasts a beautiful long hand Gretzky
